When to use this page

Use this page if you have a complaint about how ZenPaisa handles your personal data, content moderation, or any other issue that you couldn't resolve through support@zenpaisa.com. Common examples:

  • You believe we are processing your data unlawfully.
  • You asked us to delete your account or export your data and we did not respond.
  • You believe our app is showing you misleading content.
  • You believe there is a data breach affecting your data.

How to file a complaint

Send an email to support@zenpaisa.com with:

  • Your full name and the email address linked to your account.
  • A clear description of the issue.
  • Date(s) when it occurred.
  • Any screenshots, transaction IDs, or other evidence (don't include passwords or OTPs).
  • What outcome you're asking for (data correction, deletion, refund, etc.).

Use the subject line "Grievance — <short description>" so it routes to the Grievance Officer correctly.

Our response timeline

  • Acknowledgement: within 48 hours of receipt (or 1 working day, whichever is sooner).
  • Resolution: within 15 days for most grievances, as required by IT Intermediary Rules.
  • Complex cases: if more time is needed, we will share an interim update within 15 days explaining the delay and our next steps.

If you're not satisfied with our response

You have the right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational, or to approach a court of competent jurisdiction. You can also reach out to:

  • Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) — for issues under the IT Act / Intermediary Rules.
  • Consumer Forum — for service-related complaints under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
  • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) — if you suspect fraud or a cybercrime.

Faster self-service options

For most common requests you don't need to file a grievance:

  • Delete your account: Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes all your data within 30 days. Backups age out within 90 days.
  • Export your data: Open the app → Analytics → Export → CSV/PDF.
  • Stop SMS auto-import: Device Settings → Apps → ZenPaisa → Permissions → revoke SMS.
  • Stop push notifications: Device Settings → Apps → ZenPaisa → Notifications → off.
